during the last month we have seen an huge upturn in property interest out here in ‘the jungle’ This obviously is good for me and others in estate agency and we wait for this interest to turn into ‘real sales’ but, it is also good for the bravehearts who have invested large sums of money in ventures of differing styles out here. Without more residents some of these fella’s can and do suffer. Those that are putting time and effort into their businesses to encourage new and existing customers to return deserve success and Ii shall continue to support them through the good guys at the Guide. Again there will be repeats and make no apology for this as these guys are working hard. Ssteve at the Lakeside has done and continues to do great things, good food, Ssunday roasts, a nice atmosphere and lovely staff. The Peacock Place maintains its high standards of food along with crisp draught Hheineken and gorgeous staff. Na at the Rendezvous has created a superb bar, restaurant and an upper floor sports bar. Great grub especially the breakfast and the takeaway next door is well worth a visit. Bob and team at the Ooutback also work hard with golf societies out every day. Genuine handicaps always welcome. The bar and food is first class with bumper sized portions served piping hot and the staff delightful. A newish and as yet unheralded is the Hhappy Village; this is a place for families as there are all sorts of animals running around to keep the youngsters amused. Good grub, music at the right level and jamming sessions so take you instrument. Ddrive round the pond, straight past the hook for route 36 and you’ll see it just set back off the road on the right. The bar scene grows, a clutch apposite the pond with 4 or 5 lockups and always fun. Fred at the 19th next to my office is a decent guy and it’s safe enough to take the missus and kids. James place, the Route 36 has inside and outside sitting areas with decent food, good music and welcoming staff.
